But his rendition of Ripley – highly capable, chameleonic, but never what you’d call charming — represents a refreshing take on one of the most famous sociopaths in literature and film. Super Bowl LVIII was the most-watched television show in history, as an estimated 123.4 million people watched the Kansas City Chiefs rally in overtime to defeat the San Francisco 49ers. CBS Sports said that figure included viewers across all platforms and was up 7% from last year's 115.1 million average viewers, which was also the previous record. This year's game was the most-streamed Super Bowl in history with a record audience on Paramount+ , the network said. It added that the network saw its best postseason viewership since 1998. Additionally, representation in the media industry as a whole stands at a mere 12 percent, with the majority of positions being service oriented, like cleaning services and security. These numbers have remained stagnant for decades, which is outrageous when you consider that they make up nearly half the population in Los Angeles County.

Waffle House restaurants have developed a reputation for violent incidents over the years. In response, some employees in South Carolina have unionized, demanding better security and pay. Representatives for Waffle House did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment on this story. About two dozen other labor organizers joined the Waffle House workers for a three-day strike, backed by the newly formed Union of Southern Service Workers. Waffle House denied engaging in unfair labor practices in a letter to employees that was shared with the newspaper.

The Hollywood actors’ union said Tuesday that it had exempted 39 independent film and TV projects from its strike, including two movies from A24, the secretive New York company that has become a force at the Academy Awards. Talks between the union and the alliance for a new three-year contract broke down on Thursday, and tens of thousands of actors went on strike on Friday. The productions will become subject to the final deal between the union and the studio alliance. The 39 projects include “Mother Mary,” a melodrama co-financed by A24 and starring Anne Hathaway as a fictional musician and Michaela Coel (known for “I May Destroy You” on HBO) as a fashion designer. The second A24 project, “Death of a Unicorn,” stars Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega, who is known for “Wednesday” on Netflix.
